Meet Amanda: A Woman Who Reminds Us That Reinvention Is Always Possible

There are certain women you meet who immediately make you feel like you can exhale. They have a calming presence that invites you to slow down, be yourself, and simply exist without pretending to have it all together. Amanda is one of those women.

As the founder of Lux Healing Arts, Amanda has dedicated her life to helping women reconnect with themselves. Through Human Design coaching, Reiki, breathwork, sound healing, and transformational retreats, she creates spaces where women can quiet the outside noise and rediscover who they've been all along.

What I love most about Amanda is that she doesn't believe people need to be fixed.

She believes they need to be remembered. Her work is about helping women reconnect with their intuition, trust themselves again, and find clarity in a world that constantly asks them to be more, do more, and push harder.

We Are Never Just One Thing

One of the things that surprised me most about Amanda's story is that before she was leading healing circles and retreats, she spent years touring the country as a nationally recognized DJ.

And while she's approaching 50, she's still behind the DJ booth doing what she loves.

I absolutely love that.

It's a reminder that we don't have to fit into one box or choose one identity for the rest of our lives. We can evolve. We can reinvent ourselves. We can pursue new passions while honoring the ones we've carried with us for years.

Amanda has been an entrepreneur since she was just 22 years old, often building businesses in industries where women were the minority. That journey has required resilience, confidence, and a willingness to keep growing.

The Lesson That Changed Everything

When I asked Amanda what lesson has shaped her the most throughout her entrepreneurial journey, her answer was beautifully simple.

"Use your Voice."

She shared that some of her greatest growth has come from learning not to avoid difficult conversations. Speaking with honesty, integrity, and compassion—even when it's uncomfortable—has created far more opportunity than staying silent ever could. It's a lesson every woman in business can relate to.

Whether you're asking for what you're worth, setting healthy boundaries, sharing your ideas, or simply speaking up in a room where your voice hasn't always been heard, confidence grows every time you choose courage over comfort.

The Advice Every Woman Needs to Hear

When I asked Amanda what advice she'd give to other women building businesses, her response stopped me in my tracks.

"Be gentle with yourself. We were fed a lie that we can do it all. And we can—but with time, gentleness, and a great community by our side."

Isn't that the truth? So many of us carry the weight of believing we have to do everything on our own. We wear busy as a badge of honor and convince ourselves that asking for help somehow means we're falling behind.

Amanda reminds us that success doesn't come from doing everything alone. It comes from allowing ourselves to be supported.

Why Community Matters

Community has always been at the center of Amanda's work.

Whether she's guiding women through healing experiences, facilitating workshops, or hosting transformational retreats, she believes that some of our deepest healing happens when we come together.

That belief is exactly why she's such a beautiful fit for the Ember Women community.

Right now, Amanda is preparing for her upcoming The In Between Women's Retreat in Southern Utah while also launching her new Parenting by Design online workshop. Earlier this year, she celebrated hosting her second international retreat—an accomplishment she's especially proud of because of the meaningful transformation and connection that took place.

When I asked Amanda why she joined Ember Women, her answer perfectly captured the heart of what we're building together.

"Katie is such a bright light and you can feel the pure intention of her energy wanting to bring everyone together to help them grow. I've been a female entrepreneur since I was 22, mostly in male-led fields. I've seen a lot, and we need more women who are building each other up."

Reading those words filled my heart with gratitude; because that's exactly why Ember Women exists, to create a place where women don't compete—they connect.

Where success isn't measured by who gets there first but by how many women we bring with us along the way.

Thank You, Amanda

Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your heart, and your incredible gifts with our community. We're grateful you're part of Ember Women, and we can't wait to continue watching you inspire women to trust themselves, embrace healing, and create lives that feel deeply aligned.

If you see Amanda at one of our upcoming events, introduce yourself.

Ask her about Human Design. Ask her about healing. Ask her what it was like touring the country as a DJ. I have a feeling you'll walk away feeling lighter, more connected, and reminded of something we all need to hear from time to time: We're never too old to evolve. We're never limited to one path.

And we're always stronger when women support women.

In the meantime, be sure to follow Amanda and the beautiful work she's doing at @luxhealingarts.

With gratitude,

Katie
